I appreciate your concern this is hillarious. I blame Charlie’s myself…actually no I don’t and not to break up this entire story line but I’m pretty sure you are referring to the day I came into Charlie’s to ask if I could have food delivered to my room. Alas, it still wasn’t enough to fuel me to a good race. Thank you Susan for being so sweet and taking care of me, I am still determined to have a put this race behind me with a good one. Moonpie, next time jump out of your seat just a little bit faster will ya? Charlie’s remains off the hook for another year.

Clearly you missed that she probably did see Moonpie. That she ran for the hills in fear he would have her drinking multiple Corona’s with him to “carb up” the night before. That silly Moonpie.

PS- I would have gladly carried her on my back through the whole 26.2—–with Kelley’s permission of course.

I happened to be volunteering where Desiree bonked about mile 13. She was shaking and blue it’s true. She was having a feeding frenzy and shoved goo, banana, pretzels, broth into herself as quickly as she could. We knew she was out of it at that point and she just kept shaking her head saying that she really didn’t want any help and that she wasn’t sure what was going on with her that day. We called the medics but when they arrived, she had left and gotten back on the course.

I blame moonpie. If he actually had some fast twitch muscles and wasn’t an endurence machine, he would have been able to jump up quick enough to help out the poor girl and buy her a carb-filled drink.

Nice! You forgot to mention that this what we do while our beloved Coach Adam is praying to make it to exit 30 without having to stop or slow down because he only has 4th gear.

We totally would have driven to get you if it weren’t for that free round of drinks.
