Well, these are interesting thoughts. I think they are true. However, everything is
relative and ambiguous to my mind.

I'm so happy you published your rules, because they mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to me!!! As a purist, there is no Team that ever deserves that kind of mindless, senseless and otherwise ridiculous allegiance. Those that fall into that category are nothing but drones who lump themselves in with other fanatical organisms to feel a part of something ... it really is quite sad when you think about it.

I love sports and I really have no allegiance to any one Team, but rather individual athletes, a team's style of play and the overall sports aesthetic. All this college crap means absolutely nothing to me. I love the game and I enjoy seeing it played well. Ta hell with the rest of this malarkey.

Love the game, cheer on the athletes, the rest of the collegiate allegiance junk is for the birds!!

I have to add another rule. How about if I do NOT meet any of the above, and yet for the past three seasons have consistently rooted for said team? Would that not qualify as a "Fan". For example If I was to root for USC not for any of the rules stated or because they are any good at football, but just because they happen to have a name that is heavily associated with birth control, therefor sex. BUT because I like sex and anything associated with it, I therefore have rooted for them for the past few years. Wouldn't that make me a fan?

HERE COME THE IRISH!

Fan laws rule 43: You may only be a fan of a school that does not permit starting QBs to take "ballroom dancing" as a class which rewards twinkle toes with credit for graduating.
